about

Assuming 2001's "Performs In The Dark" is considered a different project, "Rubbing Shoulders" was Hall's third solo record. It portrays a heavy influence from both "Graceland" & "The Rhythm Of The Saints" (more so the latter to hear him tell it). Lyrically, there is a more obvious spiritual bend than in previous efforts.
